was September 5th, 2000, and the Second leg of the league Cup. Darren
Byfield scored the winning goal with just 7 minutes of the game left. The
first leg had been drawn 1-1, and if the score stayed the same, then we were
out. Big Brett charged down a back pass , the ball hit him, fell to
Byfield, he clipped the ball in to the back of the net, we were in the next
round. It was a disappointing performance from the Saddlers, who should have done a better job. |

deal. Released by Macclesfield, he is trying to show Britton he is worth
a contract.

form. We looked very lightweight on Saturday, if Jorge is out of sorts
for the start of the season, we may have a few problems.

We struggled against third
division opposition on Saturday, it wouldn't be very nice if it were to
happen again on .Hopefully Lee will gee them up a bit, because they
didnt look bothered last time, and for those fans who spent money
and time travelling down to Northampton it was unfair. We should start
to see the new system taking shape, the jury is still out on if the fans
approve, lets see some more evidence in its favour.
