The Saddlers failed to overcome the Blues in Jimmy Walkers testimonial. The Blues always had the edge, and dominated the game for long periods.

In the last friendly before the big Kick Off on Saturday Blues ran out comfortable 3-1 winners. Goals from John, Dugarry and Carter put the game beyond Saddlers reach before Corica pulled back a consolation goal.

A number of former Saddlers were paraded in front of the fans at half time, with Peron, Keates and Don Goodman getting the biggest cheers from the crowd. At half time Colin Lee rung the changes giving run outs to fringe and youth team players.

The pick of the youngsters was Matty Fryatt, definately one to watch as he ran at the Blues defence and created Corica's consolation.
