Stanley starts at Raith

Craig Stanley has played his first game for Raith. We bring you news of how he got on.

Craig Stanley has got off to a flier in Scotland, scoring one and playing well in Raith's 5-2 win over East Sterlingshire at Firs Park. The opposition didnt sound up to much, and it was a run of the mill pre season work out for Stanley's new side.  

Stanley grabbed the fifth goal of the game rounding off a fine victory for the Rovers. 6 of the games 7 goals came in the second half, with Stanley scoring in the 89th minute.

Stanley told Raith's website....

"I felt a bit tired at the end because it’s only my second 90 minutes so far this season. So I’m just starting to get my fitness right but the standard of play was good and I think our standard was very good. The way we created the chances first half, if we play like that next week against any side in the league I think we’ll give them good games. So if we keep it tight at the back I think we’ve got a good chance this season"
