Walsall |
| The
last time these two sides met it signaled the end of Graydons era in
charge of Walsall. It was one of the most dire performances in living
memory, and was put out live on terrestrial TV for all to see. We were
clueless and spineless on a cold and damp February afternoon in West Brom.
Jason Roberts got the goal that day, and impressed the fans with his
diving antics throughout the game. |

News |

New signings Joost
Volmer and Sakiri are due to make their debuts in English league
football. Darren Moor is still out, carrying the same injury that ruled
him out of the end of last season.

|
Jamie Lawrence is the only Saddler to miss the game. What system Lee will play remains un-decided,
but Leitao could well be alone up front with Merson and Corica in
support.

One's
to Watch. |
|
|
Paul Merson will want to show Gary
Megson what he is missing out on. Albion had the chance to sign Merson
before he had talks with the Saddlers.

|
Scott Dobie has been in good form
during the pre-season period. Competition for places is hot, you would
think he would be at the back of the que, but when in form, you cant
leave guys like him out.

| The
Verdict |
|
.
It all starts here. Albion have
never beaten us in a competitive fixture at the Bescot. With a possible
record attendance being set on Saturday the ground should be buzzing.
How will Lee send his team out? That's
the question on everybody's lips. Where will Merson play?
Albion will want to get back to
winning ways, while a victory over our local rivals would boost
confidence and send expectations soaring.
Out of all those relegated from
the Prem, it is only Albion who have improved their squad. They will be
a force to be reckoned with. It is going
to be a tough game, we will see what our defence is made of on Saturday.
Predication : Saddlers 2-2
