Saddlers lead Adi chase

According to the Stoke boss - Tony Pullis - we have offered Adi a better package than them . Its now down to what the Gills offer.

It now appears that we are in the driving seat when it comes to the Akinbiyi deal. Wide spread reports had suggested that Stoke were the favourites, but Tony Pullis has said...

"From what i can gather there are three clubs after Akinbiyi and one club not far from here have made an offer better than out offer. We can only pay what we pay and the chairman has made it clear that a line is drawn"

Funds have been made available by our owner Jeff Bonser, and this is where they look likley to go. Lee, like Pullis has been pursuing Akinbiyi all summer, and will want to get his man. It now comes down to whether Scally and Gillingham are going to outbid the Saddlers. 

Meanwhile, Peter Crouch, rumoured to be a Walsall target is subject to interest from Norwich City.
