Lucky Escape Or Not?

The Evening Mail is reporting that it turns out that the rumours about two of our reported targets were right, and that the full back deal is not dead.

The Evening Mail is reporting tonight that, as was widely rumoured, two of Colin Lee's striking targets were Darren Huckerby and Peter Crouch.

The paper is saying that it was only finances which proved the difference, as Norwich had a budget of £500,000, compared with our £100,000.

Personally, I still think that, as long as we get a striker, missing out on Crouch might be a blessing in disguise!

In the meantime, the full back deal is still on and may bear fruit before Saturday according to the Mail, but there is no indication as to whether it is still Quinn we are looking at.
