The club are, indeed, about to announce the arrival of Pompey's ex Huddersfield and Bournemouth left back Jamie Vincent, on a month's loan.

The club will be announcing this morning what will be one of the worst kept secrets on the season after last night's leaks, the arrival of Jamie Vincent on a month's loan.

The Wimbledon born Pompey left back, who cost them £800,000 from Huddersfield, the second half million transfer of his career, did not get much chance to prove himself last season, with the form of Matthew Taylor, and has had even less chance this season in the Premiership.

Walsall were linked with the player last season, and it cannot be denied that some competition for Zigor is welcome, left back being the only position in the side where there is none, but a dependable striker would still seem to be a high priority to most fans.

Still, Vincent, if he can show the form that led to Pompey paying big fee for him , will be a welcome addition to the squad.
