Carbon future settled

The future of Matt Carbon has been settled, he is a Saddler until June.

Matt Carbon has signed a one year contract following his decision to come out of temporary retirement.

Carbon decided to take a break from Football during the summer leaving the Saddlers shot on defensive numbers. Lee then went out and negotiated deals for Ritchie, Hay and Emblen while missing out on the likes of Johnson, Williams and Staunton.

When he decided to return to football his future at the club looked uncertain. He had spent time training with Stoke, but as long as we held his registration he was a Saddler. When Lincoln took him on loan late last week it appeared that his time was up, but it seems his move to Lincoln was a wise one, and one that will help him regain match fitness.
