Herfølge Review

Our friend Jesper gives us a report on how Herfølge faired against Super League Rivals Brondby this weekend.
On Saturday it was Brondby who came to visit the Herfølge Stadion. It was going to be a tough match as Brondby are playing UEFA-Cup Football, and are one of Denmark's better teams. We sat in 9th only 3 points above the relegation zone.
We started the game the brightest, winning the midfield battle and looking the better side. Morten Avnskjold was having a particulary good game for us and was the best player on the pitch in the opening half. However, after 24 minutes young Brondby Midfielder - Martin Retov - gave the visitors the lead with an effort from 20 yards, leaving our keeper - Morten Cramer - with no chance.
Just before the break we managed to pull one back thanks to Feldstedt who netted his first goal of the season following a good ball in from Baunsgaard. All our hard work was nearly wrecked moments later when Mads Olsen went close for Brondby, but he only managed to hit the post. (Pictured left Morten Cramer)
Brondby over ran us in the second half with Retov and Kahlenberg taking tire chances well, leaving our goalkeeper with absolutely no chance.
We had a chance to get back in to the match when Chris Hermansen won a header in the box, but he was denied by the post and it just wasn't going to be our day. Retov could of had a hat trick before the final whistle , but his penalty was well saved by Morten Cramer.
Brondby are now top of the table, Herfølge sit in 10th, next week we play AGF.
