Danish link up Jeopardy

Our link up with Herfølge could be jeopardised by a boardroom battle involving Bonser's chum - Clive Stapleton.

What exactly has gone on behind the scenes at the club remains to be seen, but from what we understand 3 new directors were added to the board by Carl Christiansen (a fellow director), a move which has angered Stapleton.

According to what we understand, Stapleton has now given the club an ultimatum, saying its him or Chrisiansen, as the two cannot work together.

Stapleton is the Danes main benefactor and without him the Danes will struggle to survive. English winger Matt Turner, one of three former West Brom youngsters at Herfoelge, has also had his contract terminated amid rumours of unprofessionalism. Turner, one of the star-turns at Herfoelge, has been linked with a move to Bescot by TheSaddlersFC Danish sources.

What a Stapleton departure would mean for our link up is uncertain. But the good understanding  and friendship between him and Bonser is what this link seems to be based upon.
