Disgraceful

The absence of want away midfielder Vinny Samways has been explained by Colin Lee. The player has not been seen since last weekend.

Talk had been of Vinny being left out of the side following recent events. When he failed to take the field at 3pm most of us thought he had been dropped.

The crowd began to sing "there's only one Vinny Samways" when things weren't going well. We lacked the direction and organisation that he so often brings to the team.

However, Lee lifted the lid on Vinny's absence saying.....

"Vinny Samways has not returned back from Spain, and if he's not in the country we can't really play him, can we? He's let down this club and his fellow players.

"He's not come back because he wants to leave this club. Apparently he's got a club for himself in Spain and now he wants to ditch us."

"But he was looking for a club in Spain during the summer and nobody wanted him before we were prepared to give him a two-year contract."

This news is bound to anger fans, some of whom have fought his corner saying we should repay his loyalty with a free transfer as a thank you.

Lee is adamant about the fact he wants a fee for Vinny. Our sources have informed us that a fee of around £70,000   is what it would take get him a move before his clause is activated in February.

This is the kind of behavior you would expect from a foreigner. This is the kind of behavior you would expect from a  young pro with a high opinion of himself. Not the kind of behavior of a "respected" 37 year old pro, who has been in the game for nearly 20 years.

Disgraceful.
