Keates back in the Midlands

Former Walsall midfielder Dean Keates has landed himself a deal with Kidderminster Harriers.

Deano is a firm favourite with most Walsall fans. The boy from Beechdale was a key figure in our promotions under Ray Graydon. His play off final performance was simply outstanding. 

He lost his way in the Colin Lee era, and when Lee only offered him a short term deal he decided to try his luck else where. 

Deano has managed just over 50 appearances for the Tigers, but the big money changes at the KC Stadium have pushed him to the fringes of the first team.  

Hull boss Peter Taylor has said "I don't really want Dean to go because he is a tremendous professional and a very important figure in the dressing room. He's worked very hard this season and is in the best condition I've seen him in". 

Molby however is a keen admirer, telling the Harriers official site "He's a player i have a lot of time for; not only is he a good player but he is a great charecter to have around the place. He will add bite and creativity to our midfield and that something i think we need at the moment"

Both parties hope the deal will be concluded tomorrow.
