Emblen - “I’ve had a funny season"

Neil Emblen has had another good moan about the role he plays at the Bescot.

Emblen was interviewed by IC Birmingham network and has said....

“I’ve had a funny season, to be honest, and haven’t played as much as I would have liked, I’ve only missed one game all season - that was through a groin strain - but I’ve been on the bench for a lot of it.

“The fact that I’ve been available for 30-odd games and only missed one game through a lack of fitness has been plus for me."

“But for me it’s getting to a time when I don’t want to look back and say I didn’t play enough games in the last years of my career. That would be something I would have to look and talk to the gaffer about."

“Nothing’s been said at the moment and I know there are more important people to tie down rather than me. I under-stand that. If the gaffer offers me something then that would be great and it would be something I would really think about it because I’m enjoying my time here.”

At a time when we need to be pulling together and working as a team comments like this are unwelcome. Samways, Ritchie and now Emblen have all made comments which seem to show they want to get away.

Emblem's lack of involvement is down to one thing. He isn't good enough.  Roper and Ritchie are better center backs, Osborn and Samways are better midfielders while Wales and Leitao are better strikers.
