The player who spent
last month on trial with the club is now training with Reading who would
nearly signed him in 2001. The deal fell through when Alan Pardew was unable
to get a work permit.
Jack is believed to
have impressed Colin Lee who was keen to have another look at him. Rumours
suggest that long serving keeper Jimmy Walker will leave in the summer,
meaning the Saddlers will need a replacement. Fans thought that Jack was seen
as a long term replacement.
Steve Coppell is said
to have liked what he has seen so far, and the Royals are seeking
international clearance to play him in Reserve games.
Whether he will be
awarded a deal at the Madejski is questionable. Reading already have 2 good
goalkeepers in the established Marcus Hahnemann and young Jamie Ashdown.
Jack has attracted the
attention of English clubs including Crystal Palace, Gillingham and Aston
Villa
