The High flying Walsall reserves slumped to a 1-0 defeat against Tranmere Reserves at the Bescot. 

The Saddlers failed to break the deadlock, despite Pedro, Corica and Krissy Taylor going close. 

The Tranmere goal came courtesy of a Robinson penalty mid-way through the second half. 

Leamore Saddlers was at the game and has said....

We should have wrapped the game up in the first half. No-one of any note in the Tranmere side apart from Iffy Onoura (and he was subbed off!). Birch looked quite useful in the first half and then blotted his copybook by conceding a needless penalty, just before half-time, which produced the only goal of the game. After the interval, he was as anonymous as the rest of his team-mates. Corica was poor throughout. It was hard to believe that most of the players were trying to win contracts for next season - or were they?
