More Transfer Activity

The reason for Gary Wales' absence from the squad has been revealed as an attempt to sign him until the end of the season, freeing another loan slot.

The Express & Star are reporting that Gary Wales' absence form the squad is because he was being protected as the club are trying to broker a deal for him to sign until the end of the season.

If the delicate negotiations are successful, this will have the effect of allowing the club to make another loan singing (already lined up) before tomorrow night's transfer deadline, financed by the saving on Vinny Samways' wages.

The FA have announced in the meantime that Paul Ritchie's hearing for the 'Millwall' incident will be on the 5th April, so any loan signing will, potentially, be a centre back for cover in case he's suspended, or a centre forward as cover for Emblen, in case he has to cover for Ritchie.
