Burnley Whinging

The question to be asked this week, is why on Earth are the Burnley fans kicking up such a fuss about ticket prices at Bescot in the first place?

It's been smacked wrist time this week as the club's ticket pricing policy has been reported to the Football League by Burnley fans.

The League rules are that clubs are not allowed to charge away fans more than home fans for similar facilities.

The rule is a sensible one, but it is also one which the League have not taken much notice of in the past. What bothers me, however, is why the Burnley fans are kicking up such a fuss about it this time?

If they want justice on ticket prices in this Division, why aren't they complaining about the £23 it costs to get into The Stadium of Light? Why not complain about the complete rip off prices at Upton Park? What about the £20 it costs to get rained upon while staring out at the non delights of Milton Keynes? Why not complain about the £18 it costs to sit in the middle of a scrap yard at Rotherham? Best of all, why not complain about the same £16 it costs to get into Bescot being paid by away fans to sit in a shed at, yes, you've guessed it, Turf Moor?

FOR GOD'S SAKE, GET A SENSE OF PROPORTION. THERE'S A LOT MORE WRONG WITH THE PRICING STRUCTURE AND FINANCES OF THE FIRST DIVISION THAN THIS, NOT TO MENTION A LOT MORE THAT NEEDS TO BE DONE ABOUT CLUBS RIPPING FANS OFF WHILE TRYING TO BUY SUCCESS.
