A BURNLEY FANSITE IS URGING FANS NOT TO SPEND A PENNY MORE THAN THEY HAVE TO THIS WEEKEND.
Home fans used to get a £3 discount on tickets purchased in advance. When Burnley wanted the same, we amended the policy.
Clarets Mad has said .... "Don’t buy a drink in their social club, don’t buy a match programme and don’t buy any refreshments on the ground. Take your own food preferably and if you can avoid giving this lot any more than the admission money then please do so." They also added that "If you cannot afford the £16 then why not use the home seats – it is a lot cheaper."
Now fair enough, the club has messed you around a bit, but that last comment was a bit bemusing.

Now correct me if I am wrong, but what are the admission prices like at Burnley...?

Can anyone reading this article see a match day ticket at Burnley that costs Lee than £16?
Why would any Burnley fan be unable to afford a £16 ticket when it is more expensive to watch their team at home?
As for the boycott? Interesting idea, but remember - Bescot is a cheaper day out than Turf Moor.
It has been interesting to read that Burnley's equivalent of the Football Shop was forced to close down. I would give good odds on the fact their merchandise was on the pricey side...
