^{The high-flying Walsall Reserves remain on course for the championship following a 1-0 victory over Huddersfield Town.} ^{Goalkeeper Dean Coleman was in good form, in what was a solid team performance.} ^{Daryl Taylor got the games only goal. There is a full report on the Official Site.} ^{Leamore Saddler left the following comments:} ^{"Won 1-0 thanks to a Daryl Taylor goal - scored direct from a left-wing corner-kick in the 43rd minute. Their 'keeper made a real "pigs ear" of trying to save it. Not a very exciting game but we just about deserved the win.} ^{The game was being used by the F.A. to experiment with new technology whereby an observer in the stand uses a radio link to help the assistant referees with off-sides. A couple of the F.A. Referees' Dept. "top brass" were there. Paul Taylor was also there while Messrs Merson and Osborn were in a private box with JWB."}
