Emblen Signs Up

Neil Emblen has signed a new one year deal with the Saddlers. The defensive unit of the team for next season is beginning to look solid.

The news has been released that Neil Emblen has sigend another one year deal at Walsall.

Signed originally in 2001/2002 season on loan from Norwich, the former Wolves utility man has become a firm favourite with the fans for his committed displays, especially at the heart of the defence. He has further endeared himself by taking his share of the blame on behalf of the players for last year's disastrous relegation.

His partnership with Ian Roper looks to be a strong one for the second division and leaves the defensive unit only short of a left sided central defender, according to Merson's original shopping list.
