32 year old Swindon Striker Tommy Mooney is rumoured to be a Saddlers Transfer target. The former Villa, Scar'boro, Southend, Watford, Blues, Stoke, Sheffield United and Derby Striker has enjoyed a good season in Division 2.

REPORTS THAT PAUL MERSON HAS SET HIS SIGHTS ON BRINGING TOMMY MOONEY TO
THE BESCOT STADIUM.}

^{Mooney is out of contract this Summer
and could well be interested in a move back to the Midlands.}

^{There were several rumours
following his loan spell at Derby County that Colin Lee had been
interested in sgning the former Aston Villa trainee and Birmingham City
striker, Tommy Mooney.}

^{Mooney finished up last season with
20 goals from 49 appearances.}

^{Both Walsall and Swindon hope to make
promotion pushes. Having a 20 goal striker will boost there chances of a
top six finish.}

^{We have a whole host of strikers on
the books for next season, but none of them have the same kind of
qualities that Mooney would bring to the team.}

^{The player is out of contract
this summer and has expressed a wish to negotiate a new deal at Swindon,
but Paul Merson is said to be monitoring the situation carefully.}
