IT ALL CHANGES AGAIN

WE TOLD YOU A WHILE BACK THEY MIGHT CHANGE THE FORMAT OF THE FOOTBALL LEAGUE - THEY HAVE.

Following their link up with Coca-Cola they have renamed the 3 Football League Divisions. The new names are as follows...

DIVISION 1
WAS - Nationwide League Division 1
NOW - Coca-Cola Football Championship

DIVISION 2
WAS - Nationwide League Division 2
NOW - Coca-Cola League 1

DIVISION 3
WAS -
Nationwide League Division 3
NOW - Coca Cola League 2

And the reasons? (official and unofficial)
  • Keep the sponsors sweet (new status)
  • Re-brand the competition (Try and get a bit of limelight)
  • Build on the leagues growth (official)
  • Brighten the financial outlook (official)

They also have a new logo. This one < replaces the one which was established in 1988. This is just another aspect of the League trying to establish a new image.

This isn't the first change to the names, and it won't be the last. Do you mind? Or is it just an image thing?
