We review this weeks big release - Paul Gascoigne's - My Story. Is it any good? What does he say about Merse and Vinny Samways....

GAZZA - MY STORY
Author - Hunter Davis & Paul Gascoigne

| Published - Headline, 2004 | ISBN - 0747271186 | Price - £18.99 |

This uplifting, yet harrowing account  is sure to prove popular with fans. It's quite fitting that he chose to write it a time  when he is finally faces up to his personal demons. This allows him to give a truthful and sensitive account of his life thus far.

His rise to stardom is an uplifting story, enough to inspire any one who has a dream to chase.

Yet his well charted downfall could be used as a hand book of things to avoid.

Like Paul Merson and Tony Adams before him, Gazza is brutally honest about his problems. And for the first time in his public life, we get a glimpse inside the mind of Paul Gascoigne

What would Walsall fans find interesting about the book?

Gazza talks about the Arizona clinic where he has received treatment - the same clinic Merse spent some time in last season.

There are also a few occasions where he mentions Paul Merson. He doesn't seem to happy with him on two of them

Oh, and you might be interested to read about an altercation with Vinny Samways

I won't reveal to much, as it gives you something to keep a look out for should you choose to read the book.

What they say....

Amazon - Gazza is finally ready to tell his own story in his own words for the first time - and it is even more amazing than you would have thought.

You can get this book in just about every book shop going at the moment.
