The Saddlers take on a Manchester United XI in their first home game since they were relegated at the Bescot back in May.

We all know that Ruud, Ronaldo, Scholes and Co. aren't going to playing. We also know that even high profile Reserves like Fletcher, Chadwick and Djordic are in America. The Man United XI as they are being called consists of mostly Youth Team Players. They have had a busy summer which has included a game against Redditch United who are just down the round from out selves. |

Jorge Leitao and Simon Osborn are not expected to play. Both have injuries. We are told that Joe Broad will get another chance to impress, while Kofi Dakinah should get another outing after penning a deal with the Saddlers. Merse intends to start off the game with his strongest team. This probably means we will get a lot of changes at half time, although, the changes have dried up in the last few pre-season games. |

| This
is essentially the Man United Youth Team, but they'll be no walk over and
should give our lads a good work out.
Former Walsall man Ricky Sbraiga is in charge of their XI, and it will be nice to see him back at the Club. There should be a half decent crowd in for this one. The fact Jorge Leitao is carrying an injury gives a Birch and Fryatt a chance to play together and impress. We also get a chance to look at new signing Kofi Dakinah and trialist Joe Broad.
