Walsall Football Club has announced on the official web site that promising young midfielder Daryl Taylor has signed a contract extension until 2006.

Exciting prospect Daryl Taylor has had his early season goals rewarded by the granting of a one year contract extension by the club, which will keep him here until June 2006.

Taylor has made a fast start to his Walsall career, with Manager Paul Merson showing a great deal of faith in a player he sees as having a great future, with three first team goals, as well as two crackers for the reserves only yesterday.

"The form of Daryl throughout the pre-season and in these early matches has been a real bonus to us," said Merson. "He has a big future ahead of him and I am delighted that we have been able to extend his deal as a reward for the progress he has made."
