Murphy To Stay Until May

West Bromwich Albion manager Bryan Robson will allow keeper Joe Murphy to stay at Bescot until the end of the season. The 24 year old joined the Saddlers in October, initially on a one month and then a three month loan deal.

Manager Paul Merson was hopeful of a deal, with regular keepers Mark Paston and Richard McKinney both enduring injury blighted seasons. The 24 year old can be recalled at 24 hours notice however. We wonder if Murphy's shocking handling against Tranmere three days ago convinced the Baggies that they could cope without him?
