Walsall hero nets OBE

A true Walsall hero and one of our very own has landed himself an OBE in the New Year's Honours List.

Music Mogul Pete Waterman, worth an approximated £40 million has been awarded an OBE to do with his services to music. Pete is an avid Saddler, but doesn’t sit with our other rich fans (because we have none). Instead, he chooses to munch pies with the rest of us. 

We at Swift Half would like to think that this OBE also recognises his services to the Balti Pie, and the local Balti Belt in general.

Pete has worked strenuously to raise its profile on the  national scale.  Pete is as synonymous with the Balti Pie as he is with Kylie Minogue. That is an achievement to be proud of.
