Paul Merson is attempting to bring Albion winger Lloyd Dyer to Bescot on loan. Unfortunately he is facing competition from Megson.

Saddlers boss Paul Merson has expressed an interest in bringing young Albion winger Lloyd Dyer to Bescot.

The speedy winger will be able to give us an attacking option that isn’t currently available in Merson’s armoury.

Unfortunately Gary Megson, Dyer’s previous gaffer at The Hawthorns, is keen to take him to Forest in order to move his side out of the relegation zone.

Dyer has barely figured for the Baggies over the last 12 months and is obviously looking to kick start what was once a promising career.

It is expected that Dyer, 22 years of age, will make his mind up sometime next week.

If Merson can pull this one off it would be a major coup.
