Goodbye Goalie number two

Richard McKinney has now departed. The former Colchester number two had picked up a serious knee injury earlier in the season.

McKinney arrived with Paston in the summer and looked set to battle it out to be the regular number 1.

McKinney drew first blood with a Man of the Match performance against the Villa that left us thinking Jimmy Who?

There then followed a series of high profile mistakes which lost him his place to Mark Paston, who as also left the club for pastures new.

As Joe Murphy, Dean Coleman and Andy Oakes all took there places within the squad was always clear he would be leaving as soon as he reached anything near full fitness.

We will bring you news as soon as we know who Richie is with next. One thing that will put a smile on his face is former Walsall keeper Andy Petterson. How much bad look can one player have? Within weeks of signing for new Club Farnboro Town he sees them relegated from the Conference. Tough look Andy.
