Walsall midfielder Mark Kinsella has been named the greatest Midfielder in Charlton Athletic history. The Eire international picked up his award at the Chalton vs Man United fixture which was shown live on Sky Sports.
The award is part of the Charlton Athletics centenary celebrations. Kinsella, who made over 200 appearances during a 6 year stint at the valley was honoured as part of the Addicks Centenary celebrations which are currently in full swing.
Kinsella was a key member of the side that helped establish Charlton as a Premier League Club.
Kinsella arrived at Walsall via spells with Home Farm, Colchester, Charlton, Villa and West Brom. 04-05 has been a bad season for Kinsella. He has struggled to shake off a series of niggling injuries. He has however done a fair bit of coaching while also managing the Reserve Team.
