Talking gates

The average gate last season was 7,861. While the lowest gate we attracted was 6395. So how this make this seasons average of 6041 look?

^{Well that drop of 1800 looks steep. That is until you consider the following points}

^{- In 2000-2001 we reached the play offs and bounced straight back up the Championship at the first time of asking. We averaged crowds of 5632 for what turned in to a very memorable season.} 

^{- The Ray Graydon miracle season of 1998-1999 saw us average 5458. This was a season where we hit the ground running and finished second just behind Fulham and well ahead of Manchester City.}

^{- In 1995 we won promotion to League One. Our first season back in the division since 1990 saw us finish in 11th place with an average gate of 3983.}

^{These are very interesting facts. To average better crowds after such a disappointing season is quite an achievement for the Club.}

^{If we take one thing away from this season it's that our fan base is stronger than it has ever been at this level.}
