Press reports suggest that League One promotion hopefuls Tranmere Rovers are keeping tabs on Anthony Gerrard.

This news is hardly surprising given the Geography of the two clubs. No matter what division Tranmere find themselves in, they could well prove to be an attractive prospect for the player.

Walsall have made Gerrard an offer, Tranmere are unlikely to start offering contracts until they know what division they’ll be playing in come next season. This could give Walsall a window of opportunity to push a deal through.
