PRE-MATCH NEWS

With County down the Saddlers will be very confident that they can earn there 5th win in a row. Merson will have to change the team because Andrew Surman has gone back to Southampton. Mark Kinsella is getting stronger and could come in for Surman. There is also a question mark over the fitness of Julian Joachim. He could be replaced by Matt Fryatt.

KEY MEN

STOCKPORT - At 36 Stuart Barlow is nearing the end of his career. Yet his record of 111 goals in 262 League starts is enough to make opposition managers wary of his presence. Barlow is an old hand at this level and is well known to Walsall fans from his spells with Oldham, Wigan and Tranmere, with whom he troubled many Walsall defenders. He may not be as active outside the penalty box, but he only needs one chance to punish careless mistakes. Mainly used as a sub this season, but expected to start this weekend.

WALSALL - Who else but Julian Joachim. If we give him the all he'll score the goals. It's as simple as that. This Walsall team is set up to carve out openings for JJ and it seems to be working.

OUR PREDICTION

We'd be perfectly right to expect a rout given the form of the two sides. Then again this is the last day of the season and this is Walsall we are talking about. Lets hope it's entertaining. We predict a 3-2 win for Walsall with a late winner from the Boss.
