Gerrard and Pead ready to sign

This evenings Express and Star reports that both Anthony Gerrard and Craig Pead are on the verge of signing deals.

Both Gerrard and Pead have been released by there former clubs are now available on free transfers.

At 20 years old Anthony Gerrard represents a sound investment for the future, While  24 year old Pead is a versatile full back who can also play in the midfield.

We are now waiting for news on Julian Joachim and Andrew Surman. To get both of them signed up before the start of the new season would represent a major achievement for Merson.
