The hope, the departure and the target

We bring you news of three players with differing futures. One is going, the other might stay while the final one has emerged as a target.

The one going is young full back Ryan Willetts. Having been unlucky with injuries he's failed get anywhere near the bench let alone the start eleven. Willetts signed professional forms last summer and managed just one first team outing in the League Cup when Paul Merson fielded a Reserve Team. 

The future of Darren Wrack is still up in the air. We've offered him a new deal - along with a pay cut. He's told the media that he's not ruling out signing it. As it stands for now it looks like he's waiting to see what other offers come his way.  A new contract for Wrack would make it 8 seasons a Saddler - quite an achievement as not many players have managed to span the span the Graydon - Lee and Merson era's at the Club.  

The third item of news relates to a potential new full back. The player in question is Everton youngster Daniel Fox. Both Mick Halsall and Bill Jones will have seen Fox while watching Gerrard in action for Everton. We are currently without a left back bar Lee Vaughan and John Harkness - both of whom are unlikely to start the season as first choice.
