Pre-Season 2005/2006

With the team back in pre-season training, we take a quick look at forth coming games.

13th July Vs  Halesowen  (A) - At the moment we expect this to be a first team fixture. Last years clash was a fierce affair with a bit of bad atmosphere between a few of players. 

 

15th July Vs Sporting Khalsa (A) This game will almost certainly see a Saddlers XI take on Khalsa. This game is to commemorate Sporting Khalsa getting their new ground.

 

16th July Vs Worcester City (A) They aren't usually part of the  pre-season Itinerary and this Saturday Afternoon fixture could well see the first teamers in action.

 

19th July Vs Kidderminster Harriers (A) This fixture is becoming a pre-season regular. The Harriers can no longer be classed as Football League Opposition, but should provide us with a stiff test. Almost certainly a first team fixture. 

 

20th July Vs Boldmere (A) Certainly a Reserve / Youth Team fixture given the fact we play the Harriers 24 hours earlier

 

22th July Vs Hednesford Town (A) Our annual trip to Keys Park is always a hard one to judge. What kind of squad will we send? It could be our strongest squad, or a mixture of first teamers and reserves. 

 

23rd July Vs Rushall Olympic (A) This is fixture is usually contested by a Walsall XI.

 

25 July Vs Tamworth (A) Always a nice trip to make on a balmy July evening. Tamworth is always used as a first team fixture.

 

30th July Vs Villa (H) The third summer in a row that we'll entertain our Midlands neighbors. Can we make it three victories in a row?

 

2nd August Vs Manchester United (H) United have disbanded one of their Reserve sides, so we have a better chance of seeing a strong team? Expect a strong Walsall team to take on  Manchester United players that only the most avid of Champ Manager players is likely to recognize. 

 

3rd August Vs Bromsgrove Rovers (A) A reserve team fixture that we might use to give one last run out to those who didn't feature the day before against Manchester United.
