Merse questions Demontagnac Future

Having failed to show for the 3-0 defeat to Bristol, Walsall boss Paul Merson doubts that England U18 Midfielder Ishmel Demontagnac has the temperament to over come his disciplinary problems. .
When quizzed about the talented Londoners ability to change Merse said "I would not say I am confident; definitely not. He’s been told time and time again and he hasn’t learnt. Temperament is the be-all and end-all of football. If you keep getting booked or sent off, it’s no good.” (TIMES 04/01/06)
The question over Ishmel was asked about another talented youngster last season. The player in question last time around was Leroy Williams who despite bags of talent and a tremendous amount of potential was shown the back door in the summer. We can only speculate as to why such a talented player was let go, but it wouldn't be unfair to say his temperament and attitude weren't what Merse or the team needed around the camp.
If anyone knows about having the right attitude for the game then it's Paul Merson. Having been around the likes of Gazza, Ravenelli, Emerson, Carbone and Collymore he should be able to spot a potential problem from a mile off.
Ishmel is one of our brightest prospects and fans will hope these recent problems are due to youthful naivety rather than a long term problem with his temperament.
