Interest shown in Defender

Speaking on the Clubs official site, Paul Merson says that one club has shown an interest in Defender Julian Bennett.

 

They are said to have made tentative enquires about his availability.

Reports suggest he is reluctant to sign a new deal, and the fact that Jules could command a tidy fee make him a prime candidate to be moved on during the forthcoming clear out.

Crewe and Wolves are thought to have shown an interest in the past, while recent rumours on the forums say that a move back to his home town club of Nottingham Forest could well be on the cards.

Jules is a young home grown talent who was given his debut under Colin Lee. He's been a first team regular under Paul Merson and is the best defensive talent we've produced since Ian Roper well over 10 years ago.
