Deal falls through for Championship striker.

A move for a Championship striker has fell through due to difficulties with his current Club.

Speaking on Radio WM, Paul Merson says a deal to bring Watford striker Paul Devlin fell through due to difficulties with his current club.

The former Blues man lives locally and is thought to be have been keen on the move. Whether or not this can be resurrected remains to be seen seen.

Saddlers boss Paul Merson has pledged to bring in a forward before the window closes. He is now expected to approach other targets.

The failure to secure Devlin follows another failed attempt to secure Paul Peschisolido who wants to remain in the Championship.
