The tale of 3 full backs....

One is gone, one is close to going and the other one might be going - Will the Bescot Transfer Action ever stop....

The three full backs in question are Jon Harkness, Julian Bennett and Steve Staunton.

Harkness – who has made just one first team appearance this season has been released early from his 12 month deal.

The Julian Bennett move appears to be on Ice, but talks are thought to be on going and the move could still go ahead. The two clubs are still to agree what proportion of the total fee should be paid up front, and what elements should be put in later clauses.

While Steve Staunton has been strongly linked with the Ireland job. This was rumoured some time back, but talk had died down and it appeared to be a no goer. This mornings Press are saying that Stan will team up with an experienced number 2 (possibly Bobby Robson)
