MERSON SACKED

PAUL MERSON HAS BEEN SACKED AS MANAGER OF WALSALL FC.. The news will come as no shock to the fans who've been expecting it since Saturday at 3:06pm

It's late in the day, but Sky Sports News is saying that Merse, once the darling of the Waslall fans in the Summer of 2003 now leaves the Saddlers floundering at the foot of League One.

Merse never really set the world alight while in charge at the Bescot. The promise shown in the latter months of 04-05 was never carried in to the new season despite a good run early on.
