SCOTTISH CUP THIRD ROUND DRAW.

The First and Second division sides join the non league teams who made it through from the first two rounds, along with the remaining third division sides in this afternoon’s third round draw.

Older readers should not be confused with this Third Round draw, it is not the Third Round draw as we know it. The round that was formerly understood to be the Third Round is now the Fourth Round, the round where the SPL teams come in!

The draw threw up a few interesting ties involving some of the lower league teams. The most notable being junior side Sunnybank who were rewarded for their win over Albion Rovers with a trip to Ayrshire to face Ayr United at Somerset Park.

Elsewhere, SFL Third Division leaders Berwick Rangers face a tricky tie up to the Highlands to face Cove Rangers and fellow third division side Stranraer will also face a tough test against either Golspie Sutherland or junior outfit Girvan.
