League Cup draw keeps Old Firm apart

The League Cup semi final draw was made at Hampden this afternoon and the Old Firm were not paired together.

Rangers were drawn to play Motherwell, while Celtic will play Aberdeen across the weekend of 29th/30th Jan, probably at Hampden.

Fans of Well and Dons will be disappointed as they will see their chances of making the final being reduced, but the sponsors will be happy with the potential of a second Old Firm Final in three years.

It is hard to predict the ties given they are three months away and a transfer window in between, hopefully Well and Dons can cause an upset and set up a family final in March.
