SPL to wait on weather for decision on games this week.

After last week’s decision to cancel all six games in the SPL as early as last Wednesday they say they will not be so hasty this week.

Last week’s early decision was supported by many of the SPL managers, although Inverness boss Terry Butcher wasn’t so pleased about it!

Fans were also a bit more outspoken on the situation with many wondering why Alloa could host a match with Pererhead in the Second Division but out top clubs couldn’t put any games on.

Although much of Scotland is under a blanket of snow and ice at the moment, and the roads in poorer conditions than last week it looks as though the decision will be taken slightly later this week.

There is a thaw forecast for Thursday and Friday and the SPL plans to review the situation with this in mind. It will need to be some thaw to get the conditions to match the conditions the same as last week.

If they want to be consistent they should really be calling the games off tomorrow, but it would appear the fan is never really the major concern for the games authorities.
