With Celtic’s game with Kilmarnock called off Rangers have the chance to move five points clear with a win at Inverness

Rangers follow up their draw in Turkey with a trip up the A9 to take on fourth place Inverness in a tough televised match tomorrow.

The sides met only a few weeks ago at Ibrox and the game ended in a draw, although that is hardly a surprise given the Highlander’s away form. Rangers will fancy themselves more given Inverness have not done so well at home.

Rangers will have Sasa Papac back after injury but Maurice Edu is still out, Inverness have a number of players back in training but they are not yet ready to return.

I think the incentive to move five points clear of their old rivals will be enough motivation for Rangers to seal all three points.

In the battle of the Saints, the Paisley version have a chance to leap frog the Perth Saints and move into eighth with a win at St. Mirren Park.

Danny Lennon’s side have become more difficult in recent weeks and this has seen them move off the foot of the table and have the manager and the players looking up the table rather than down.

The opposite could be said for Derek McInnes’ St Johnstone who have struggled in recent weeks and rather than look like a top six side look more like a relegation threatened side.

Michael Higdon is back for the Saints after suspension, but the weather break has helped the fitness of David Barron, Stevie Thomson, Stevie Robb and Paul Gallacher. Saints have Jamie Adams suspended for this one.
