Are Hibs too good to go down

Following Aberdeen’s win at Easter Rd on Sunday Hibs have now been dragged into the relegation dogfight – can they pull themselves out of it?
Hibs are now only five points off the bottom of the table, with bottom club Hamilton having two games in hand over the Edinburgh side.
With the season not far off the half way point there is no doubt Hibs need to stop the slide or they could be in trouble.
Aberdeen have been given a lift with a new management team now in place, and this is not something Hibs can do given they have already made that change when Colin Calderwood came in to replace John Hughes.
Calderwood’s appointment has not arrested the slide started under Hughes, with his side having lost six of his nine games in charge.
As we had previously said about Aberdeen this maybe tells you more about the players than anything else.
How can a team with the likes of Liam Miller, Derek Riordan, Chris Hogg and Mark Brown to name but a few be struggling?
One other stat shows they haven’t beaten anyone in the bottom six this season, does this mean there is an assumption they only need to turn up to beat these teams? Obviously not and it would appear Calderwood has his work cut out!!
