Brown ready to re-structure Dons side

It look as though new Aberdeen boss Craig Brown is about to become the loan arranger to re-structure his Dons side.

It is reported this morning he has been on the phone to Manchester United boss Alex Ferguson with a view to bringing a number of his young players north to Pittodrie.

The names being mentioned include Corry Evans, Robert Brady, Magnus Eikrem, Joe Dudgeon, Oliver Norwood and Ravel Morrison.

Evans is the brother of United’s Jonny has yet to make his full debut for United despite playing seven times for his native Northern Ireland. Oliver Norwood has also played for Northern Ireland without having made a first team appearance.

The others have been in the United reserve side, and some of them playing in Scotland last season in friendlies with Clyde and Motherwell.

While loans from the Premier League have helped a number of sides this season it does seem the Dons could be putting their eggs in one basket if they sign all six players mentioned.

They would still need to have some Scottish experience in their side to help them along, but I am sure Brown and Knox are wily enough to know this themsleves.
