Transfer window round up

The transfer window has been open now for six days and although there has been plenty of rumours few moves have actually taken place.

There has been little action so far this January as Scottish clubs struggle to find two pennies to rub together it looks as though moves out are required before any activity can take place.

The first person out was Sol Bamba from Hibs who unbelievably attracted a bid of £200000 from Leicester boss Sven Goran Eriksson. But it appears they have been frustrate at getting anyone in with Managers being sacked in the lower Leagues down south.

Two other moves that have taken place are Celtic’s Jim Goodwin on loan to St. Mirren, after loan spell at Hamilton and Myles Anderson to Aberdeen, free agent previously on trial at Blackburn.

Then there are the rumours;

• Norwegian Erik Huseklepp from Bran Bergen to Celtic
• David Goodwillie to a Premier League Club, or the Old Firm
• Inverness’s Adam Rooney to Russian side Kuban Krasnodar
• Killie keeper Cammy Bell to Rangers, although this has been denied by Ibrox side
• Kilmarnock have signed Finnish goalkeeper Anssi Jaakkola subject to international clearance. The 23-year-old has agreed to join on a two-and-a-half-year deal from Czech Republic side Slavia Prague – this probably sparked the Bell story
• Kenny Miller linked with a move to Turkey or back to the Premiership
• Kris Boyd speaking to both Celtic and Rangers about a loan move!
• Barry Robson and Scott McDonald to return to Celtic on loan
• Mark Reynolds to Sheffield Wednesday from Motherwell
• Alan Gow and Nick Blackman to head to Aberdeen after short spells at Motherwell.

It will be interesting to see how much happens before the window “slams” shut at the end of the month.
