Celtic to appeal to SFA again - will it ever stop?

Celtic will be keeping the games administrators busy this week as the SFA will have to consider two appeals from their favourite club which Chief Exec George Peat finds tiresome.

Celtic have confirmed they will be appealing the red card handed to young James Forrest in Wednesday’s SPL game with Hamilton. This comes in a backdrop of more strong statements about referees from Celtic, with defender Rogne having the word “cheated” used in the papers this morning.

It also comes after George Peat of the SFA has expressed his frustration with Celtic and their constant moaning about decisions made against them.

As every supporter of a provincial club will tell you they believe the Old Firm get more decisions in their favour than the smaller clubs do! But Celtic fans, with too much time on their hands, will provide a list of decisions that have gone against their side.

What they never look at is the huge number of decisions that go for their team. They never accept that all teams get bad decisions one way or the other, but no other team or set of fans seem to have the same constant complaining about refs.

I used to believe refs were biased until recently but I know believe they are only human and will make mistakes – we all make mistakes in any job.

I am certain Neil Lennon has made mistakes in team selection, substitutions etc but he seems to deflect this by convincing the Celtic support that it is an SFA conspiracy and nothing to do with anything that Celtic themselves are doing.

As I have said on previous occasions I wish Celtic would accept that these things happen and that there constant whinging about it is not helping them with both the authorities (based upon Peat’s comments), referees and the fans of other teams.
