Billy Reid, surely a delusional man

Hamilton Boss Billy Reid appears to have lost the plot judging by his comments following their defeat to St. Mirren yesterday.

He was critical of the style of football played by St. Mirren yesterday, accusing them of aiming route one to a big striker. Having seen Accies live a few times this season I don’t think Reid is in any position to criticise anyone for their style of play.

From what I have seen their 3-6-1 has stifled games, seen the ball in the air more than it is on the ground. They, are by some way, the worst footballing side I have seen in the SPL this season.

He has been complaining about the number of penalties that have been given against them, 15 to date. Maybe he needs to look at why this is happening? From what I have seen it down to a defence that is was past its sell by date, and therefore he can squarely take the blame for not replacing McLaughlin and Canning in the summer or in January.

Maybe he should also look at the League table and see how far his team is behind everyone else, and at the same time have a look at when his team last won a game (end of October). Sometimes you can make stats tell you anything you want but these two tell you everything you need to know about the Accies this season!

Hopefully Reid will reflect in this for the rest of the season and his next ramblings will reflect reality rather than the fantasy world he has been living in recently.
